#Futurework at Denfair
If we can work anywhere, at any time…then why do we need dedicated workspaces?
DENFAIR is an Architecture and Design trade show with over 142 exhibitors across 12,000m2. DENFAIR exists to support the Australian Design community to achieve excellence and to engage with a broad audience about ‘the true value of good design and how it can make a difference’ in our everyday lives. These goals are in keeping with Futurespace’s vision that ‘people are the product of their environment’ and our team was delighted to be invited to participate by creating the #Futurework activation.
To create #Futurework the Futurespace team distilled the essence of work into three main activities;
Collaborate; coming together to co-create, innovate, and share knowledge
Focus; the ability to concentrate, shut out distractions, and undertake deep work
Socialise; creating connections with others, wellbeing and happiness
Three ‘experience pods’ take a considered and curated approached the materiality, finishes and physical space, each reflecting their own singular activity.
The meaning and definition of a workplace continues to change and evolve as the world changes. The #Futurework activation is designed to look to the future and provoke conversations about why people come to work, challenging preconceived notions of workplace design as being something utilitarian and purely functional.
