Futurespace was engaged in 2013 to work with property managers CBRE and building owners Stockland to refurbish the existing foyer cafe situated in Ryde’s busy business district. The objective of the foyer upgrade was to increase the building’s appeal to potential and existing tenants.
Centrally located on the ground floor with various entry points and outside seating area, the foyer cafe space abundant in natural light, offering tenants and visitors opportunities to work and socialise in a casual but professional setting outside the office.
The foyer cafe features a vibrant colour palette, upholstered banquet seating and occasional chairs, textural cladding and ambient low pendant lighting. The full height ‘map’ super graphic punctuates the space and serves to locate the building in the context of greater Sydney, providing a conversation starter for patrons and visitors.
The outdoor space features communal furniture and planters that screen the view of the neighbouring car park, further enhancing the ambience.
